UniformInLove ("UIL," "we," "our," or "us") is owned and operated by Voilà Entertainment, LLC. We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using UniformInLove, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
(a) Profile Information
When you create a UIL account, we collect profile information you provide, including your name, age, photos, service branch, and location. This information powers your profile and our matching engine.
(b) Verification Information
To protect the integrity of the community, we collect a verification selfie and, optionally, government-issued identification. This information is used solely to confirm identity and service status.
(c) Activity Information
We collect information about your use of the service, including salutes, matches, messages, and posts you make within UIL.
(d) Device Information
We automatically collect technical information about the device you use to access UIL, including device model, operating system, and IP address.
(e) Payment Information
Subscription and consumable purchases are handled by Apple, Google, or Stripe. We do not store your payment card numbers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate matches and operate the service;
- Detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and safety issues;
- Provide customer support;
- Send marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time;
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share information with other UIL users (profile data only, as part of your visible profile and interactions) and with service providers who help us operate the service, including Supabase, RevenueCat, Stripe, AWS, and Twilio. We may also disclose information to legal authorities under a valid court order or other lawful process. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, use the in-app controls at Settings → Data Privacy, or email us at privacy@uniforminlove.com. We honor CCPA and GDPR rights for all users regardless of jurisdiction.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. When you submit a deletion request, we apply a 30-day grace period during which the request can be reversed; after the grace period expires, your data is permanently erased from our active systems.
7. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and encryption at rest, and we engage qualified third parties to conduct annual penetration testing. While we apply industry-standard safeguards, no internet service can promise perfect security, and we do not represent that our systems are immune to compromise.
8. Children
UniformInLove is intended exclusively for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18, and we delete the accounts of any users we discover are under 18.
9. International Users
UniformInLove operates from the United States, and your data is processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your information in the United States, which may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
